SCORING SERVICES

Committee is essential in the scoring of the tournament with the use of radio communication and computers.

Collect scorecards, check addition, and make sure players turn in their cards. Also, collect player statistic cards from each caddie.

Accompany each professional grouping during play and display their scores on a standard sign. Must be able to carry a standard sign (approx. 5-7 lbs.) and walk 18 holes without a break.

Responsibilities include keeping score on handheld device and reporting scores to scoring control by radio. Must be able to walk 18 holes in all types of weather conditions. Full golf knowledge is required, and pre-event training is mandatory.

Relay tournament play information, such as what each player lies and what player is hitting next, to TV Channel staff.

Days of Operation: Thursday – Sunday

This committee requires golf knowledge and ability to walk the course (keeping pace with assigned group).

PLAYER SERVICES

The volunteers will be responsible for registration, caddie bib distribution/pick-up and providing general services for the LPGA Tour caddies during the event.

Responsible for managing and maintaining the driving range and practice areas. Duties include bagging and distributing range balls and making sure range name panels are properly managed.

Provide ball spotting to players and control the movement and conversations of spectators; on-course active position. The committee is also responsible for handling the movement of the players during an evacuation. Requirements: Must be able to stand for long periods of time.

Shuttle players, caddies, and walking scorers between the designated shuttle drops. Must have a valid driver’s license for this committee.

TOURNAMENT SERVICES

Sell tickets on site, assist with ticketing questions, and act as ambassadors for the event. Committee members will also be scanning tickets and greeting patrons as they enter the main gates of the tournament.

Information Services volunteers will be stationed around the golf course, distribute programs/pairing guides, and assist with spectator questions to help guarantee a great experience for all attendees.

Support tournament staff in interactions with volunteers. Primary duties include managing volunteer tent services and supporting other volunteer committees as needed during the day. (Volunteers might be asked to help during the week prior to the tournament in addition to tournament week).

Assist with inventory, packaging, and distribution of volunteer uniforms prior to tournament week and manage exchanges, sales, and inventory of remaining uniforms during tournament week. Some lifting of boxes required.

OPERATIONS SERVICES

Deliver and monitor water, ice, and other supplies to various facilities on the course. May be required to lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds). Volunteers must have a valid driver’s license to work this committee.

HOSPITALITY SERVICES

Greet sponsors and other guests as they enter the hospitality areas and answer any questions. Ensure that clients with proper credentials are allowed access to the designated areas and help assist in the special events tournament week (Pro-Am Pairings Party, Pro-Am Day, junior program, etc.).

You will be notified of your volunteer schedule in August. We will make every effort to accommodate your availability preferences; however, we cannot guarantee each request will be granted.

The volunteer package is $50 and includes:

  • Official Volunteer Uniform (polo shirt and hat)
  • Admission to the tournament for the week
  • 2 weekly passes for family & friends
  • Invitation to the Volunteer Appreciation Party
  • Meals provided per shift as well as drinks and snacks throughout the day
  • Total package value is over $250

Yes. There will be an option to purchase an additional polo shirt during registration. An option to purchase an outwear items will be available at a later date.

Each volunteer must be able to work a minimum of three (3) shifts. A shift will be four-to-six-hour time frames either AM or PM. During registration you will outline your availability by day and we will make every effort to accommodate.

The minimum age to volunteer is 14 years old. Standard Bearers + Practice Areas are a great committees for younger volunteers.

Volunteers under the age of 18 must have a legal guardian complete the waiver.

When completing your availability, there will be an option to enter the name of another volunteer you would like to work with. We will make every effort to accommodate your pairing preferences; however, we cannot guarantee each request will be granted.

There are volunteer positions for everyone, regardless of your golf experience, and training sessions for committees with specific duties will take place prior to tournament week.

Volunteer parking is still currently being determined and more information will be sent closer to the tournament.
